not really. they are pretty much as good as it gets. also try scat porn. thats good too.
>>
I enjoy painting.
>>
films/videos, videogames, books, television, and movies are pretty much the pillars of escapism.
>>
Lucid dreams
>>
Anime and manga, that was easy.
>>
Video games can contain all other forms of media. Theoretically, a sufficiently sophisticated video game can totally supplant the experience of living.
>>
reading is pretty great
I'm not just talking books
>>
Books. Or films. Playing Music and listening to it. Don't get me wrong, I like video games. I just prefer those mediums.

You seem like a sweet person. What are you doing on this nihilistic cesspit?

Real life experiences,
dont take me wrong, I m gamer myself, but there s still plenty of things, that games cannot very well emulate, for example waking up in the forest, seeing the sun rise, going over the moist grass, feeling like the whole forest is waking up, thats imho of those sensory overwhelming experiences, which still cant be well virtually recreated, and also contact with real people, relationships, shared experiences & emotions

For sure.

Video games aren't much more than an elaborate time waster. They're a great way to scratch a mental itch, but not much more.

I find I feel most rewarded when I write. I write for my own pleasure about what's on my mind, and I also write/DM for my dungeons and dragons group (another form of escapism, but it does promote healthy social interaction, something video games mostly fail at doing).

I also feel rewarded by completing hard work. I find there isn't much better a feeling than returning home after a long shift at work to find my bed made from the morning, and my book ready to be read.

Sometimes it's really good to just turn off all the electronics and lie back on a Sunday morning with your cat and explore your own mind, and dwell on things that make you feel good, at least for a little bit.

Almost every other form of entertainment. The only benefit vidya has is the interactivity and 99,9% don't use it for anything beyond making you learn patters of pushing buttons at the right moments as if you're a dog in an experiment.

Every hobby where you use your time to create something is better by default too obviously.
>>
Yeah, actually working in that industry.
Worst things as an artist are business people and ungrateful gamers.
Just be nice to us, we're making games to make you happy.

Also Xanax.

yes OP, but I know video games are hard as fuck to let go. Just think you don't have to ultimately let completely go of games, but I know how difficult it can be, because they have such eye-candy and let you interact with another world in a different way.

you don't have to give up games completely, but learn to not let them rule your life. they're a bad addiction. try reading/model building/working with your hands. get used to natural light and not staring at a screen and you'll feel way healthier.

I will disappear in my room when Splatoon 2 comes out. 94 days to go.

That question is incredibly subjective. The things I perceive as better than video games would be different then what you might perceive as better.

I train muay thai 2x a week and some strength training here and there. The feeling of mind and body connnecting, fighting and facing your fear and overcoming it again and again while becoming stronger, quicker, tougher is so much better than games. You walk around more relaxed and feeling powerful. You achieve something people respect and admire. It's a much more fulfilling high than that games gave me
