I reckon you should be worried if he is associated with organized crime or if he committed particularly violent offenses like assault, theft or rape. In contrast it would be much less alarming if it's white collar crimes like embezzlement or counterfeiting. You need more information on the subject because you can form an opinion.

It was white-collar crime involving checks being sent to illegal workers (I think that counts as white-collar).

The only thing I saw from her so far is her incessant need to save and not spend money, which makes sense in this shitty economy.

I'm from a more relaxed background and money isn't a problem. Her dad isn't connected to any crime rings and has paid off his dues. I'm just concerned her personality and personal plans may carry or exhibit some of those concerning genes if you get my drift.

I wouldn't. I work with a bunch of felons at a drug rehab center and they're all good people. Just meet him and get a vibe off him. You can tell when someone is actually shadey.

Besides, most criminals are just drug addicts who haven't developed themselves philosophically.
