Is it true that if you break a bone you will KNOW it's broken?
I'm a grill and I fell today and landed on my arm (forearm hurt) . People around me don't think it's broken (just badly hurt) but I'm very paranoid. I've never in my life broken a bone so I have no idea what it feels like.
I'm usually a big baby and feel like if I broke it I would be dying and crying. A friend wrapped it tight now and I'm holding it in a position where it doesn't hurt. Moving my forearm area hurts.
Also a doctor is 40min away and I don't wanna bother people to take me if not needed.
are you a woman or a child

Ughhhh I don't even know anymore

Are you an idiot or illiterate
minor fractures aren't going to be apparent, but if you'd have broken your arm you would know. leave it be for a few days, if it gets worse it's likely a fracture

speaking from personal experience, by the way. not a doctor or anything

there are a lot of ways your bones can break, it could just be a little fracture or even bruised. give it a day and see how it feels tomorrow. I really recommend seeing the doctor if you can afford it. you don't want it to heal wrong and then they have to rebreak it.

Lol is that a thing fuck
Go see dr op
My parents thought I sprained my wrist when I was little so I didn't see a dr for about a week. Turns out it was broken and had to get a full arm cast for my wrist

This - if it was badly broken you would know, but if it's still very tender and difficult to move after several hours then you almost certainly have a small fracture.

Thats a matter for a doctor.
Theres all kinds of breaks. If you can move it at all probably not serious.
But i hairline fractured my knee at work last year. I continued to work because hard times n money and all that but you better believe i fucking knew it was in bad shape.
My bone actually literally flexed and bent on the impact like a piece of hard rubber.

>knee
More accurately the bone directly below the knee.

Yeah my bf fractured his ankle at a trampoline park and then went to go do shots cause he thought it was just a sprain. It healed and then he re fractured it again at the same place, he went and they offered to break it yet again so it would heal properly and he wouldn't have limited movement.

Tomorrow if it's swollen, and hurts to touch and/or move, then get it checked
Breaking bones doesn't always hurt, this can be for many reasons.
When you landed did you feel anything snap or pop? Can you provide a picture?

No, my brother broke his wrist and didnt realize it was actuallt brolwn until he went to the doctor a year later
>>18222841
It will swell up like a motherfucker and bruise even if it's just a fracture
I can see the spot where I fractured my arm even after 10 years

Lol. Y'all be terrifying this poor girl.
@OP
What you should be taking from this:
It's probably NOT broken. Chill. Don't freak.
Just check it out in the morning tomorrow and see if it's swollen/super tender.
Even if it IS fractured, bones don't heal THAT fast so you have a little leeway and you don't need to rush your ass to a hospital or anything.
You got time. Everything will be fine.
That pain doesn't sound like a break. A minor fracture or sprain maybe. If it's really bothering you that much you might as well see a doctor to make sure you didn't fuck it up too bad.
