a brush, circular one, will give you a more layered look. combs tend to make it a little too straight.

I followed his recommendation for hair clay and snagged Flagship Dead Sea on Amazon lots of hold for just a dime's worth of stuff

clay needs to be shampooed out of your hair but unless you use a shit ton no one would know it's there

matte pastes and fiber works the same way pomade usually looks something like hair gel I wouldn't do it

as for the brush go for wood it's the easiest on your scalp
