You can eat salad with your hands if you feel up to it. But often times people use forks. Marzetti ranch and caesar are best dressing hands down.

Just stab a fork into it and see what comes up. If it is too much to stick in your mouth, either use a knife to cut it down or nibble around the edges of what's on the fork until the rest is small enough.

Or, as with most things, you could just watch what other people do and follw thei model.
