Basically, the longer she waits to take it the higher chance she has of getting knocked up. Don't waste any time (although I think plan B is supposed to work within 3 days).

Something else to know is that women have the highest chance of pregnancy generally during the middle of their menstrual cycle. So, ask her when her last period was. Cycle is ~30 days or something.
