I'm a NEET in my late 20s who lives with my parents. I do make a little bit of money doing odd jobs. I'm good at saving my money, so I have a few thousand dollars in savings. I have credit cards with high limits. I pay for my own phone, food, and vehicle expenses. I technically legally own my own business, but I have no income from it at the moment.
My question is, though, am I going to be viewed negatively by potential romantic partners for living with my parents and having little income despite spending most of my time working on my business and having a decent amount of financial resources? Does ambition even matter?
Yes. Get a steady income and move away.
Show people you can handle yourself
1. Yes 2. Ambition is over rated, but if you have the grit to back it up, then yes.

I have no interest in changing what I'm doing. My plan has always been to get my own place once my business becomes profitable and I can afford to do so. I'm just wondering where I stand in life to others. I can live with the consequences of my choices.

Depends on which country you live in, but living with your parents in your late 20s is widely seen as a sorry standing in life. Ask yourself whether you would want to date someone with little income and/or someone who lives with their parents.

you sound as bad as a 20 something stoner insisting his garage band will hit it big as soon as they get a good deal.
i think the only people who care are mother-in-laws, gold diggers, and girls looking for THE ONE.
i dont think your lifestyle should necessarily be a put down, but i can imagine some girls not liking it. just dont make it an opening thing.

Here's my question. How do you spend your time? How much time do you spend on your business and what is the reasonable estimate for if and when and what kind of money it will make? How many hours per week and how long since you started? Because if you really are good at saving you could have a lot more of a nest egg if you had a job.
