tungsten. cheap, heavy, durable, looks good
>>
Only go with gold. Highest quality you can afford. You want it to be worth something.

Tungsten, Titanium, and Platinum. My father's wedding band is a platinum band inlaid on tungsten.

Is tungsten still hard to get off in emergency situations? Like say if you need to cut it off or is it brittle enough to crack under vice grips?
>>

Bullshit. You're A teenager who doesn't wear a ring. Anything better than 14k is too soft to be useful and will look like shit in a month.

You can't cut tungsten off. I was told when I got mine that I'd basically be losing my finger in a worst case scenario type of accident.

I think most people that work with their hands or machinery don't wear their wedding bands that often. At least in all my years of work none of the men I've worked with wore their rings. Same thing goes for lifting. No one who is serious about lifting wears one in the gym.

Not sure how often OP is going to be wearing his ring but he should probably factor that in to his decision. They also make like cheap plastic type rings to wear if you're just really into wearing the ring but not actually wearing "the" ring.

Yup, I always just tie mine in my shoelace at the gym . At work it never really bothers me though.

they can crack most tungsten carbide rings with a large pair of pliers. I wouldn't be too concerned about it.

you can get titanium if you're still scared about it, it's softer than tungsten, but can be sawed off if needed. still way harder than shitty gold and silver rings, and they're so cheap that you can replace them at the drop of a hat if you lose it or it gets damaged

titanium is super light while tungsten is super heavy, guess it's whatever your weight preference is
