So this started happening to me more frequently; I black out from drinking. Long stretches of my night will be gone from my memory, and usually during that time I offend people or embarrass myself.
When I was younger I never blacked out from drinking, this seems to be a new thing and I'm not on any medication or anything.
Has this happened to anyone else? Alcohol suddenly makes you black out after years of it not having that effect?

Anybody?

Black outs are a sign that you drink too much for your brain to handle. It didn't happen before, because you weren't a problem user. If it happens regularly now, consider quitting altogether, before it escalates more.

Try drinking less.

Do you suggest just stop drinking all together?

You sound like an alcoholic.
Alcohol is more harmful than certain illegal drugs. Realize your own stupidity quickly and find other things you can do to pass time / have fun.

I only drink once or twice a week though

Average normies dont drink until they black out. Either you got yourself some medical condition or you just drink for some unhealthy reason like
>pass time
>forget something
>ease your pain
>to "have fun"
Whatever you are doing, it is pass the average drunktard joe. Remember you can have few beers.
So why do you drink so much and so often? What are your reasons?

I usually drink with friends but I often over do it

Self control dude. Make a number of drinks before you enter the pub and dont get more than that.
Dont fall into alcoholism.

I think this is a good idea. For me it seems when I start I can't stop. Last night I blacked out after chugging a two pints of 7% beer
I regained memory later in the night but I lost about 40min

I had the same problem. I eventually found out I can't control my drinking, at al. Every time I started drinking I had no idea what would happen, and it was a total roll of the dice. so the only way to avoid that shit since I couldn't control my drinking was to stop drinking. That much at least I could control.

I think this is where I am. So you just cut out drinking all together?
