>meet friend
>like her right away
>almost my ideal woman
>fall in love with her
>she has a boyfriend that she has been with for years
>shit hurts
>actually cry about it a couple times
>eventually grow to accept it
>no longer hurts
>happy that she has someone
>still love her but now (mostly) platonic
I would really like to tell her how much she means to me but don't want to make things awkward between us. Spending time with her is pretty much the only thing that makes me happy nowadays and she doesn't know it but she helped me out of one of the lowest points in my life.

What exactly do you lose by not telling her? Because the way I see it is that by confessing your love their is a positive probability that you end up in a relationship with her, but if you don't confess there is a 0% probability. It seems like by saying something you either gain something or lose nothing, but by not saying anything, you always end up with nothing

Don't tell her you love her. At best, you'll both have warm fuzzies for a minute and she'll still be with her bf, or things will get awkward and she'll have to tell you what you already know. If you really love her, continue to show her through your actions. Also I recommend that you don't spend too much time in 1-on-1 situations with her since it blurs the lines too much imo.

She is in a relationship already. I wouldn't want to put a strain on that or make her feel like she has to choose between us.
This is more about opening up and letting her know she is important to me than trying to get into a relationship with her.

I suppose your right. Good advising Anon.
DO IT!
She'll leave him when she realizes.
You can only win.

Thanks. It's the advice that I wish someone had given me when I was younger and learned the hard way through painful experience.

Don't tell her. You may think you're doing something nice, but if I had a friend do that while knowing I'm in a relationship, I'd find it to be very disrespectful. I'd have to tell my boyfriend and then I would feel weird talking to you.

That's just you
