>Studied 12 hours in one sitting for an exam yesterday
>Had 4-5 hours of sleep the night before
>Used adderall and drank a few redbulls, only had a small lunch and minimal water. Also smoked one cigarette. Had taken a high dose of tadafil (generic cialis) a few days prior (100-120mg spread out from weds - sunday)
>heard had been beating noticeably faster that day, but thought nothing of it because I only noticed it when I was paying attention to it
>Get home
>Smoke to go to sleep
>Get a burning sensation and tightness in the chest
>Never felt anything like this before
>Heart is beating like a racehorse
>Similar burning sensation in the back of my neck, throat and head that seem to be coming and going
>Think it might be a panic attack because I have smoked in 11-12 days
>Symptoms continue for 30 more minutes and have gotten worse, heart is beating so hard that it's more of a pounding
>Starting to feel more lightheaded, and short of breath.
>beginning to think that this isn't just panic induced
>Remember that heart attacks run in my fathers family
>Have a friend call 911
>Paramedics in the ambulance note that my blood pressure and heart rate are really high
>Was hooked up to a fluid machine, given a lot of aspirin, an IV and some other things
>Ended up being admitted for the night because tests by an EKG machine caught some irregularities in my heart rhythm, after doctors thought I might be able to go home after a few hours.
>Still have a minor soreness in my left chest and sometimes the beating is a little fast
What happened here? The physicians attending to me didn't really give me a clear explanation, and my discharge form mentions coming to the ER for chest pain but that's it.
I should also note that I don't have any history of anxiety/panic attacks.
sounds like my experience having a panic attack. you think people are being dramatic when they say it's happening, but to the uninitiated it feels like you're going to fucking die. sounds like you might have some anxiety leftover, as a main factor is that "tight" soreness of chest. i recommend a visit to your pcp. stay good homie.

Are you fat?
How old are you?
Did your heart feel like it stopped at any point?

I'm 185 pounds but I was 260 last may
My heart never felt like it stopped, it was beating like a madman. At its worst it felt like it was pounding against my ribcage.

I thought it was a panic attack at first, but when it was worsening after 30 minutes I felt like there could have been heart problems at play

Not sure if you're still reading this thread but how long did your attack last? I was literally sitting in my bed joking, oh man I guess I'm having one of those bad reactions to weed I've heard about and just waited listening to music for it to go away. But my chest started tightening more and it wasn't getting better after 30 minutes, when I hear that panic attacks usually last for 10 minutes.
Also today I've pretty much just been lying in bed, but there are times were my heart rate will shoot up for sometime and then come down. Still have the soreness in my left chest and sometimes I feel a slight pain/soreness in my arms.
The thing that concerned me the most, and is what probably prompted me to get help was when the burning sensation was really strong in the right hemisphere of my brain, neck and throat.
I also never had any hyperventilation or sharp chest pains, just felt like something was gradually clamping down on my heart/chest.
I also heard a light ringing noise in my ear, and my weed high felt more like an acid trip than anything. It was very surreal.
