Do something about it you normally wouldn't do, without change it won't subside.
Don't be afraid of failure, see something positive and thrilling in it, like a challenge.

If all of that doesn't help, then put yourself in someone else's shoes whenever you encounter what makes you depressed, live in the illusion that you handle the problem like a specific person that has no problem with it.

Listen to music that gives you the opposite of being sad

Clean yourself, work out, I know it's but accept that you feel bad, and that too will pass, you're still in a rough spot, don't let your rational guard down to do shit that's self destructive.
Create, or at least write down your thoughts.
