Depends on the university. And I am sure there are some girls like that are GDI that are fine. But if you think about it it makes sense. You get into a good fraternity because you're desirable and at that point you probably think you deserve other desirable people. So it ends up where the best sororities only mix with the best fraternities because they are well connected, often look good, etc.

maybe it is because i am an introvert and fraternities/sororities are not really a thing here in canada, but i have never seen the appeal of them. even despite being an introvert i haven't found it hard to meet people. obviously i don't really know the situation down there, but it does sound like a self-fulfilling prophecy to an extent.

I dated a tri delta chick during my senior year and she didn't care that I was not a member of a frat.

There are plenty of opportunities to meet qt's in college without being in a top frat.

Be social, help people out, go to parties, go to bars etc. and most importantly stop thinking with that constrained mindset

There are plenty of girls who are willing to hang out with low tier frats. At my Uni there are spirit groups and low tier sorrorities and they mingle together constantly. The girls as a whole aren't the hottest obviously but there are always very attractive girls that get filtered down to low tier for whatever reason.

Basically this. If you're only looking for women who are in a frat, or at women who only look for guys in a frat, you're gonna have a bad time.

Spend some time lounging around on campus doing non-computer activities. If they have a rec room with ping pong, pool, board games, etc. go there a lot, bring your homework if you don't feel like playing games. If you hear people having a conversation you're familiar with, get in on that conversation by bringing some of your personal knowledge to it.

Just getting yourself physically out there is important, you'll start seeing certain people so often on a regular basis you might become friends and create more connections.

Free campus event? Go there, even if you don't like the event featured. Some high profile shit is going down in the community room of your floor? Go and see what's up. Not sitting in your room all day will make you connections. This is coming from someone who fucked up and spent my first two years at college completely to myself/in my room and frat/sorority friends. Last two years I spent doing whatever I was capable of because I decided to fuck it and put myself out there. Regardless of whether or not people I already knew were going.

Also, if you're basing everything off of looks, you're probably too fucked up from porn, like you stated earlier. Some really solid 6's or 7's who share similar interests with you will be waaaay better than an 8 or 9 who don't share any similarities with you.
