I often stay up very late and get up at 1-3 pm, since this is my last semester at uni and I have very few classes. What is more, once I get up and shower I just want to get back to sleep, which I often do. On days like these I usually only become active in the evening.
I can work alright once I get to it, but I have trouble finding motivation myself when there isn't something I know I have to do. Paradoxically I function better and do more when I haven't slept at all, that way I don't have the sleep mode on - until I crash, that is.
Holy shit OP I knew I wasn't the only one. Except I'm in my second semester.

Gotta get this shit straightened out before I move for my career.

I stay up too late playing games at first, then I just keep getting worse till I am up till 8am and sleep till 5pm, then it kinda resets itself, I don't know why i do it but I hate myself and I am at my most depressed between the hours 3am and 8am, it is currently 5:30am, I wish I could stop this.

I can't give very accurate and sound advice considering it would be highly hippo-critical . But I suffer from the same damn thing. it's definitely depression but finding out where it's coming from is what will help you get rid of it.
My ex who ive known all my life dated for 5 years getting ready to marry cheated on me with my "best friend" i haven't been on a consistent sleeping schedule ever since but my advice is the advice i won't take and that's to seek out therapy. if you don't focus on fixing the shit you don't like about yourself or what you're doing then you won't have the motivation to do the things you need to be doing.
