Depends on the type of job. If it's customer oriented, you at least want it clean and trimmed. If it's a labor/trade, it doesn't matter.

From my experience, just wait and they'll tell you if they want you to shave your beard. I wouldn't be too worried about it. Chances are if they didnt say anything about it at your interview it's probably okay.
