Everyone has a story- you might even enjoy your job, caveat being you occasionally have to deal with shitty people. That's life right? But what about that particularly awful human being? The one that, if removed, could only mean improved performances and attitudes, but for some reason (usually nepotism), that doesnt happen/
How do you all deal?
I actually have a decent job that helps me pay for a 2 bed in town, with some free time to pursue activitys and a fair amount of pto.
But as early as 8 in the morning on the daily, shit gets bad fast. my supervisor is a negative, belittling and insecure man who gossips, insults service workers, and throws regular temper tantrums.
I haven't bothered talk to HR; Its a small company, and he's the bosses' pet, so nothing would ever come of a complaint.
That said I'm mostly happy at this company, but really I don't have any options anyways - employment is scarce where I live.
So how do you just...deal with it? Without flipping? Without getting fed up with excuses and accusations and just flipping your shit? Most days I can ignore it, but some days I'm agonizingly close to breaking his nose just to see what happens.
I literally just want to be happy in spite of him, but it gets harder each day.
similar situation, but i just got rid of him. i probably would have faked something but if they're as bad as you say they tend to do something that cant be overlooked.
in this case my guy was 1) embezzling and 2) masturbating at my desk

jfc. nice, anon. Was he caught on security or did you walk in on him?

for embezzlement he just wasnt hiding it very well, i was able to figure it out after one ismple conversation. he told me we owed his boyfriend 500 dollars in updates on our website, for two updates. the updates are to the calendar and they take 30 seconds to do (i know because now I run the entire website in house). so i asked for proof and he quickly changed his tune.
as for the porn id just come in, and my keyboard would be slippery, becuase hed have just washed it with windex, AND there'd be two hours of porn history. it was previously his work station.

He sounds sloppy as fuck
I wish mine was such an easy target. We're heavily monitored so no porn, except an old slip up with the social media account that I was gracious enough to warn him about (back when I gave a fuck)
the best I could do right now is record some of the outrageous shit he says and play it for the boss, but I honestly don't think they'd even fire him for that. Hell they might fire ME for it.
which is why im just trying to cope with 40+ hrs of retardation a week

look for dirt on him, some stuff are just inacceptable/illegal
keep your eye open
I guess it's just fucking life man. Some awful people never get punished for what they do.
