I made advances on a girl I legitimately thought liked me, it turns out she didn't and now I feel like a disgusting freak, what do?
Move on.
It happens.
Nobody is gunna suddenly think you're a weirdo.

It'll pass. You're not a disgusting freak (most likely). How others view you and interact with you will act as a mirror for your personality. When people act dismissive of you, it will feel like you're a disgusting freak. It's natural, but it doesn't mean you're a disgusting freak, it's just how you interpreted a certain message.
Anyway, I don't know what the fuck I'm saying. You'll move on, just continue to make advances. You're doing the right thing. You think a ship goes back to harbor after one wave hits it?
Thanks anons, I guess I just felt so bad because I didn't genuinely like her, and sort of pitied her when she always flirted with me

Make advances on the next girl whom you think likes you. Or one whom you think might come to like you. Making advances is ok, you express interest. She doesn't reciprocate, you move on. No harm done in trying.
You should be proud, dude. You were able to work up to the courage to make a move, and know you know she's not worth your time. Good job.
If you're going to go prowling, try not to do it in your usual hangout place.
The road to success is paved with failure and trying again with the knowledge you gained from failure. Failure is less painful if you can walk away from it and not have it haunting you.
