i was in my early 20's when i went to college but that was for automotive technician, ribbing like what OP is saying was common since it was 20 19-40 year old guys in a room 8 hours a day. other courses i have no idea

You might be oversensitive. If thats not the case for whatever reason. I would just talk to him during office hours. If you feel like he's still threatening. Go to the dean or assistant dean and tell them that your getting harassed.

Since you say he ridicules everyone and not just you, it sounds like he's trying to be witty and simply has no sense of boundaries. Go to the proper person within the department - your adviser, the undergrad director or the department head - and present the case politely on behalf of the whole class - "Professor Jones seems to think it is funny to call class members insulting names, but I can report that a lot of us find it hurtful. Please speak to him on our behalf."

I can assure you that the department simply doesn't know about this and will take your side.

Yeah, I'd just try telling the dean or head of the department. Don't bother with this professor, he will just get defensive and possibly pick on you more. It's not like he's going to suddenly stop being an asshole because a student told him making fun of people's physical flaws is mean. He is obviously already aware of that.
