The problem is that there is absolutely NO WAY to tell if a post is truthful or if it's bait.

I know people will try to defend this with "well there are telltale signs of a troll and- ", but no, that's a lie. There is absolutely no way to tell what's bait and what's not.
Look at Pizzagate, a guy decided to shoot up a pizza restaurant because some guy on the internet told him it was a secret pedophile ring and provided tons of "evidence"
Look at the Trump Russian Piss-Prostitute scandal, which once again was made by a bunch of guys on the internet with "evidence" that millions of believe to be true

The ONLY way to tell what's truth is if there's good evidence at hand.

Often the most critical are simply the most confident - But not the most competent
If there's one lesson to be learned from 4chan, it's that you shouldn't listen to anybody's criticism unless you have spent many, many, days reflecting on their arguments.

"Toughing up" is a remarkably stupid concept
Life shouldn't be about being "Tough" - Life is about being right, and having good solid justification for your life

Ive been on 4chan since 2005. Its made me fairly tough. Ive fought so in so many battles, flame wars, meme wars, raids. You lose track of time.
