The daily kys really helps with my thin skin.

It makes you want to be better than other people and makes you hold yourself to a higher standard in my experience.
>>18150550
>Does 4chan make you mentally tougher?
You fucking bet. Not in any edgy way either. I have legitimately learned to accept and appreciate my flaws because of years' worth of 4chan influence. It destroyed the majority of my insecurities.

I think it's the most truthful place on the internet despite the bait posts.
If you say something retarded, do something retarded, or act retarded. people are going to give you all the shit they can, and this helps you be a better person and take criticism.
It creates an environment where your mistakes are solely your fault and you are able to become a better person because of it.
so yes.
>>18150550
You're looking at it completely wrong.
Stop thinking in terms of "toughing up" and think in terms of what's true, right, and practical.

>it's the most truthful place on the internet despite the bait posts.
The problem is that there is absolutely NO WAY to tell if a post is truthful or if it's bait.
I know people will try to defend this with "well there are telltale signs of a troll and- ", but no, that's a lie. There is absolutely no way to tell what's bait and what's not.
Look at Pizzagate, a guy decided to shoot up a pizza restaurant because some guy on the internet told him it was a secret pedophile ring and provided tons of "evidence"
Look at the Trump Russian Piss-Prostitute scandal, which once again was made by a bunch of guys on the internet with "evidence" that millions of believe to be true
The ONLY way to tell what's truth is if there's good evidence at hand.
Often the most critical are simply the most confident - But not the most competent
If there's one lesson to be learned from 4chan, it's that you shouldn't listen to anybody's criticism unless you have spent many, many, days reflecting on their arguments.
"Toughing up" is a remarkably stupid concept
Life shouldn't be about being "Tough" - Life is about being right, and having good solid justification for your life

No, if anything had I stopped going here I would probably shapen up a lot more. But I'd be a lot more lonely in a cold world.
>>18150550
>more like making me reinforce my cynicism ten fold
And made me stop being a butt hurt bitch boy when trolled/baited online
>>18151305
Sorry but Pizzagate has way to many coincidences just to be brushed off like that
>>18150550
>Does 4chan make you mentally tougher?
I can't find any reason to assume that exposing yourself to toxic levels of autism somehow makes you a better person.
>>18151005
>I think it's the most truthful place on the internet
You're kidding, right?
>>18151529
I'm interested: why are you here?
>>18151535
For his (You)
No. Maybe less gullible but not tougher.
Being insulted on an anonymous Korean finger painting image board does not make you tougher. Nothing I have ever read here mattered to me after I closed the tab.
>>18151514
:^)
I don't think it makes you tougher. It definitely makes you more apathetic though.
You see this tough face OP? This is from over a decade of 4chan use.
>>18151698
pic related. I once looked like this!
>>18151529
tougher person does not equal better person
>>18151514
it made me apathetic and now i just shitpost all day
>>18151859
>apathetic
First step of enlightenment. Everything is empty.
>>18150550
Some random nut telling you to kill yourself online is easily ignored.
Someone you know, telling you the same thing is not easily ignored.
>>18151514
>Pizzagate
Stayed out of news and politics because of the election. First time I heard about this.
It's hilarious.
>>18150550
No, but it can remind you that there are people out there that have it a lot worse than you do.
>>18152408
>Someone you know, telling you the same thing is not easily ignored.
Yes, it is.
You're just a bitch nigga.
>>18150550
Ive been on 4chan since 2005. Its made me fairly tough. Ive fought so in so many battles, flame wars, meme wars, raids. You lose track of time.
Sometimes you see a 2008 meme and think its newfag garbage. Then someone points out its 8 years old. Time gets away from you.
I still remember 4chan raiding my favorite website and home board back in 2004. I wish i could go back to those days. Good times.
>>18151698
>>18151701
Shit like this is why I keep coming back here. Lol gd. I can't seem to find silly characters like this irl
>>18152520

>>18152543
Thank you son
And I was anti boxxy at the time. The queen boxxy stuff blew up around the time project chanology was taking place. Thats why 2008 wilo always be the cut off for newfag/oldfag. Those 2 events man. Ans Both were being spammed incessantly. I would bitch and act smug about it all, calling them both cancer blah blah blah... What a time it was. What a time.
