I wasn't too sure whether to post this on here or /mu/ but I thought I'd try here first.
Basically, I want to go to a music festival abroad in June. Problem is none of my friends seem up for going. I don't want to spend the entire week alone, so how the hell do I find/make friends at a festival?
I did go to a city festival abroad last year and succeeded in making friends but this one is a field/camping festival so I imagine it might be quite different.

Well, my plan at the other festival (in Iceland) was:
>listen out for English speaking people
>approach them, ask for directions or recommendations or whatever
>ask where they are from, why they are here etc

Look around for tour groups going to the festival and join.
Or advertise online or at local uni or music clubs for travel companions
