Remember that police can lie to you until you are at court.

The easiest way is to deny everything. Repeat: I don't know. If they had actual evidence against you, they wouldnt bother to talk to you.

Remember that police officer knows a lot of ways how to manipulate people (it is his job after all). Do not trust him anything at all. Be strong. Police has power to destroy your life in matter of minutes.

I've been interviewed by the police about cp before (I was completely innocent but my dad was guilty, unfortunately - it's really fucked my family up). I could prove that I was innocent, so on my solicitor's advice I went in with a pre-prepared statement, read it out, and then answered 'no comment' to every question they asked. If you can prove your innocence I'd advise you do the same - that way you can't accidentally say something you don't mean which might implicate you, which does happen. It might be more difficult if images are found on your computer and you have no explanation for them though. Make sure you have legal representation, even if it's just the one they appoint to you.

In that case you need to speak to your lawyer (if your current one is shit then pay for another one, if possible) and tell him that, and see what he recommends. I think it would probably be wise to refuse to answer any questions until they tell you what exactly they have found - you have a right to know what their evidence is (if they have any). While it's still vague, you don't want to admit to anything that could later be misinterpreted to make you sound guilty.

I'm not a lawyer though, and my experience is limited to this one occasion, so get proper legal help. I know we're not a big fan of them here, but during the case I went to a legal help subreddit (can't remember the exact name, but you should be able to Google it), and they were pretty useful. Probably better than /adv/, as well-intentioned as we are.
