people like talking about themselves more than listening, ask general questions about work/hobbies and pick out bits of info in their answers that you can ask another question about

if you want things specifically about yourself to be interesting, get hobbies and interests of your own

Talk to people. Make small talk. If you're overthinking it, put yourself in their shoes. Whoever you're talking to is only hearing what you're saying.

Practice by talking to old people. When one walks by, smile, nod, and say "good (time of day)" or "nice weather we're having, huh?". Practice small talk.

I loathed speaking and actively avoided it. As a result I was not a confident speaker and it showed whenever I had to talk to people. I came across as wooden and awkward. If you force yourself to talk to people (i started off by getting drunk) then it becomes more and more natural and you'll subconciously gain charisma. This is aided by emulating other people but it's not necessary so long as you practice and practice.
