Apologies for the vulgarity, but:
So, uh, I just took a bigger shit than I ever imagined possible. In addition to being huge, it was also very stiff and difficult to pass. I'm certain that if I try to flush it, it will clog the toilet and cause it to overflow.
I'm not sure how to deal with this. For now, I just washed my hands and left (fortunately, the stiffness of it also meant it came out fairly cleanly, so I didn't have to use much paper) in the hope that it will dissolve or soften a little, which might help. But I'll have to confront it soon, and I don't know how to do that, because I've never had to deal with this issue before.

Break it up by hand. I've had to do it in my camper a number of times.
You could try to break it up before flushing.
But if it is solid enough, I would say just grab it out of toilet and bag it and throw it away in outside trash.

This and eat more fiber

Flush before you start wiping. If the toilet is powerful enough, the force can break it up after a few flushes. Otherwise, you're going to have to use the plunder to break it up.

Wire hangers make excellent poop cutters. How does no one else know this?
