britfag here, I need advice.
She constantly drinks alcohol and constantly victimises herself or somehow makes it about her, she constantly says she "cannot handle it" and goes into a meltdown every few days to the point where she will use any excuse it seems to have one.
She has had a hard upbringing however so has her sisters and they are not like her at all in the sense of constant almost insane anger and crying about every little problem. She does have depression and anxiety but there is more too it that I think hasn't been diagnosed.
Basically I need advice on if this is a good idea to best get her mentally corrected, how to go about making sure they do their jobs and admit her for more than 28 days and the consequences of her being sectioned if there is any.

im not familiar with sectioning.
that said, it may or may not be good for her. get counsel, from a doctor, addiction specialist, therapist, etc. for her if possible, for you at least if not.
drastic action (physical restraint) can have drastic reactions, get professional advice first.

From a therapist or medical professional. Where do you access those?
The advice you're looking for isn't "will they take this case seriously". Do you think they would tell you if not? You need to ask a professional what the potential effects of sectioning her are.
In general, dealing with bureaucracy is a huuuuge pain. If you want to make sure they do their jobs, it will be a constant fight. Unfortunately I don't know specifics, just my experience interacting with governments.
I think if I were to try to convince them to section her for a long time I would try to prove she is a danger to others in addition to herself.

My mate got sectioned after some shit with a girl, it's a strange call to make, you never forget the bad times but you keep holding out for the good. Since his episode he's gone to uni and got a new gf which i think helped more that the sectioning. I know he's better but in my head I'm still worried sick that he's gonna relapse.
Basically what I'm saying it's try and get to the exact root of the problem and if they're rational try to discuss it with them. Then if that doesn't work call the men in white coats
Also also, cut off her booze supply, tell local shops to not serve, pour everything she's got. That shit doesn't help in any way
