Smart and strong. Mentally and physically. Start doing push-ups daily and pull-ups if you're able to. If you have the cash, save up for a tandem skydive. Get into something like BJJ or boxing or kickboxing so you can tumble around with other opponents. You don't have to be good, but the experience and comraderie will only make you better. And be smart- read books and learn new things. Don't know how to clean a sink trap? Learn. Paint? Learn.
