Well I fucked up. I started volunteering at an animal shelter about a week ago, and I had two scheduled appointments with a mentor who was supposed to help me learn the basics/basically on-the-job training. Long story short I got the days mixed up and just realized while I was getting ready that I was supposed to go yesterday in the afternoon and today this morning. How the hell do I apologize to the volunteer coordinator for wasting her time? I've never been in this type of situation before and I want to sound as genuine as I really am without being terminated on my first fucking week.
