Want to become a police officer Any advice? Really need a new

Its a career that's respected and pays fairly well. You'll see some of the worst of society and get extremely frustrated on the job sometimes. Physically demanding until you can make specialist duties (usually) if you're smart/skilled enough for it.

Joining the police in my country (Australia) is extremely competitive however, specialist duties even more so once you're in, having a degree is even recommended now at this point.

Its a great job in England, just look it up on online and read up on the CKP which is whats required to apply to any UK constabulary

How much do American police get paid P.A. when they're general duties/constable?

Well its £45k at the top end plus lots of over time if you want it and room for promotion, definitely could be better but its not all bad.

Lets be honest, you dont need a gun in the UK and even if you do there are lots of specialist units you can join if that is your thing.
