I've been having suicidal thoughts recently and its been getting worse; I am seriously considering it. I've been told I should definitely talk to a therapist by my friends when I told them how i've been feeling. I had therapy in the past, one I stopped seeing for some reason I cant remember (grade 2-4), one i didn't like (grade 4) one that broke my trust by telling my mom what I had been telling her (grade 5), the last one was in school where my mom had forbade me from seeing because they threatened to call cps (grade 6). I'm 20 now, i've told my parents with whom I live with about seeing a therapist and such; I have the weekend to find one or they pick for me. I don't trust them in the slightest, so I am asking if there is any way to find one I would like first so I don't have to change therapists 50 times before I find one I like. Is there a service or website I can use?

Have you thought about trying a peer support group? I've found them loads more helpful than some fuckwad wit ha degree staring at you in a chair. Sometimes talking to multiple people who have been through similar things can be a lot more helpful, because they've earned it you know? They've been through the shit too and have a better understanding of where your issues are coming from.
Peer groups also lack one critical factor, they aren't in it for the money, people run them because they genuinely care.
