Im19 amd joined the marine corps with an I fantry contract. I leave for bootcamp in May. If you have nothing else todo, and no plans in life like I did then he'll yeah join.

Have you gone through the tests and interviews and stuff then? What was that like?

By the way I'm British so our tests are obviously going to be different to yours but I'm just wondering in general how you found it

E.g. for our Navy I know that you have to run 2.4km (1.5 miles) in about 10 minutes (pretty easy), and then do something like 30 push ups and 30 sit ups, not very difficult.

I joined at 18 after dropping out of HS. I think it's worth it. It will suck at times and you'll hate it more often than love it depending on where you're stationed and who is running the show. Overall it was worth it though. I would recommend it.

Afghanistan? Looking on Wikipedia that's where it says 173rd was deployed. How was that?

Depends who you are, if you have no chance in college, go for it. I dide Army and my talents and work more often than not was not recognized. Can't really reccomend that one
