What should I do?
My girlfriend and I broke up about a month ago and I was resolved to never interact with her again.
How ever I will be attending an engagement party tonight and she will be there.
Should I still go? Would it look bad if I do not go? If I were to go, should I just ignore her?
I have no idea what to do.

go...and ignore her? dont be a sperg. if she says hi say hi back, but be distant. if she tries to start a conversation just say "i really dont want to talk to you" but dont make a scene of it

This.
Be totally relaxed and enjoy yourself. Talk to everyone except her and just be cool. Don't get too drunk or flirty with others, have women check you out and small talk with them.

Thats fair enough.
I guess I am freaking out a little because her friends have been trying to force me into befriending her again and I have no interest.
I am just worried she might make a scene of it and I would really not like to be the guy that had a fight with his ex at so and so's engagement party.

Don't make a scene then, if she makes one then that's on her

Are you a man? You want to win?
Be so cool as fuck, be cuba beach drunk cool.
If she flips and you don't finch, she looks crazy while you ascend.
Live your best life man.

It depends.
If you guys broke up because she just didn'T love you- go and have fun.
If you broke up because you did something bad to her- leave her alone and don't go.

If you are a mature, confident, well adjusted adult and can handle going to an engagement party and not causing a scene and detracting from the engaged couple then go, if you, your ex or both of you can't do this, then don't go. If you don't have the self awareness to make the right decision then just keep steam rolling through life a complete mess or better yourself. Godspeed OP.
