i was hired to a really good paying government office job back in january, and was recently fired in late february. many people would work years and years to get experience to get this job, and i was hired without any experience required, almost as a fluke.i was the only guy in the office, and the youngest person there as well. i did not learn the necessary items required in time to pass the probationary period of my job, but my supervisor did not make it possible to learn these items in time. my last two jobs were at a shitty call center and a movie theater, both at part time. am i doomed to work entry level jobs for the rest of my life? is the fact that i worked there a month and a half considered a good thing, or would the fact that i got fired as recently as a month and a half down the line be considered bad by employers? pic unrelated
put yourself in the position of an employer, does the fact that this person had a job for a month and a half but was then fired for incompetence make you want to hire them more or less
and yes you're doomed to work entry level jobs for the rest of your short sad life

just leave this job off of your resume or CV or whatever you use to put out feelers.
DO put it on anything that asks for your "complete work history for X years."
Been there.
Government is very overpaid and they like to hire weak candidates to make themselves look better, or to hire a family member later.
Don't give up on government.
Keep bashing there doors down, and make sure to file for unemployment income. You can go on it for a full year in California
