Hey all. I need someone with advice on the court system. I was arrested on some bullshit and long story short, I'm now going to go through a jury trial upcoming shortly. The thing is I know I shouldn't have been arrested in the first place. Anyway, I got word that my trial date is getting postponed. Does this normally happen? I'm thinking this is happening for 1 of 2 reasons.
1) They can't get enough jurors together.
2) The prosecutors are struggling with the case.

I just spoke with my attorney and he told me that it was the judge that was trying to hold off on a trial, not the prosecutors. Since when does the judge make this decision?

Judge prolly just wants to set up his/her schedule as he/she wants. Don't matter too much about how you got arrested nut more of if you are guilty of a crime and if there is evidence of it.

This bullshit happened to me before. I shouldn't have been arrested and the prosecutor knew this so they kept delaying the trial. Just make sure you keep up to date on your court date and remember unless they formally let this go don't assume anything.
