Hey guys, what could I do with a biology degree?
I'm wondering what kind of master's to move on to if I don't get into medical school.
Thanks for any help!

Same friend about to graduate with bachelors in Biochem.
If you haven't done like 1000+ hours of volunteering at hospitals, been part of med clubs, retained 3.8+ GPA, and have other extra ciricular actives you probably won't get in.
The following information is from my PI so I don't know if it's exactly true. Masters degrees in sciences are usually frowned upon as most masters are obtained by failing or dropping out of a PhD program. So when people see that you have a masters it might look like you just stopped trying for a PhD. You will probably only have a few options. Professional schools for dentistry, med school, pharmacy, or PhD. Whatever you do stay relevant in the field in your gap year and prepare a plan to get ready in that year for any direction afterwards. Good luck friend and I hope you're in a research lab right now. Otherwise join one.

Thanks a lot. Yeah my ECs and GPa are not perfect for med school but I have a good MCAT score.
I was thinking maybe a master's in clinical microbiology or molecular biology as a plan B (which I could use as a stepping stone to med school eventually) I don't like science enough to get a PhD.
If I'm not doing clinical medicine, I think I'd prefer working in a medical research lab or a pathology lab.
Thanks

This is gonna sound like kind of obvious, but apply to a shittier med school. if you have a good score, a school with less competition to get in will overlook a lower GPA.

That's the plan for this application cycle. Gonna buff up my volunteer and clinical experiences, maybe get some more research experience.
Doesn't hurt to have a plan B though
