Absolutely. I live here in Serbia. We've got some black people, mostly students from African countries and US basketball players.

However, here are the caveats I can think of: you'll be mostly among white people (99+%); locals might be curious about you, but you will stand out, probably not fit in the best and could run into an occasional racist. Stay away from big soccer matches (but that advice holds for most locals, too).

Of course, heart attack from too much high quality meat, wine and liquor is also a danger.

Other than above, you should have a great time. We're big on hospitality, living here for a longer period is a different matter, many people here love to bitch about how life here sucks (it doesn't at all, but we have less $$$ than many others). But during a short term visit, they should not open up to you enough for that to become an issue.

Where exactly you were planning on visiting? Belgrade, Novi Sad or a smaller place?
