I have a 4.0 GPA and will sit the MCAT this year. I've worked so hard for the 4.0 GPA and other things needed for med school that all I need to do is get a good MCAT score. I really want an Ivy League med school so the only thing holding me back is getting a good MCAT score. I've been studying for the MCAT since 5 months ago. Lately I've felt so much anxiety and a shitty state of mind because the stress/pressure of it all.
Is it normal to feel so stressed/anxious/down in times like this? I remember reading med students are far more likely to suffer various mental illnesses during their studies.

Not much advice, but I can sort of sympathize. I'm a pre-law student about to enter the LSAT prep phase, so our situations are somewhat similar, if mine more mild. Good luck to you is all I can say, I suppose.

Yes, it's completely normal.
What helped me is finding an activity to unwind - I go swimming and meditate.

I think I need to do this. I still do other things but the MCAT and studying for the MCAT is on my mind 24/7
