What does being an adult mean to you?

Being able to go to mcdonalds whenever I want.

Making choices on events that could change your life
>>18108428
Being able to navigate complicated situations, concepts, and feelings, by falling back on experience to solve them on your own, or coordinating with your peers to solve them.

Being independent.
There aren't many adults these days.

Self-Actualization is the only right answer.
Apparently this world is run by babies with a lot of money, and they get angry when they don't have their way. Even worse, they stagnate by following the mainstream American culture.

Responsibility/acting responsibly - for my self, for my family, for my friends, and for my country.
Being sick of people's bullshit
Taking care if my own shit. Paying my own way (this is where I think a lot of millennials fail). Supporting myself. Helping family and friends when they need me. Constantly working to improve myself.
Making enough money to support yourself
fully in all aspects of your life. This means
not having any financial help from your parents
or relatives, what so ever.
I fail in this regard because I'm almost 28
and living with my parents after being away
from home for 4 years. I make just enough
to save a few bucks in the bank but I don't
make nearly enough to pay for my own
apartment, and the situation I'm in is fully
my fault because I did not take the time in
my early 20's to further my education. Now,
I'm working with a company that's given me
a great opportunity, but I do not like the job
and I don't see myself getting a job with better
pay because I don't have a degree to fall back
on.
Uh, anyway. My opinion was to make enough
money to not ask anyone for help.
Sorry for the rant.

accepting responsibility and depending on yourself
Fuckin work and stop crying about it all the time.
Doesn't mean anything.
everyone can get there.
I'm 25 and still haven't figured that out. Throughout my life there's always been something to work towards - finish high school, graduate college, get a job..
After getting a job I realized I had no further goals and my life became purposeless and empty. I've been at this job for 2.5 years now and haven't come to any great conclusions about what I should do with my life. I get by, but I don't think I'm really happy. I'm too much of a coward to really take any risks and do something out of my comfort zone.
It means you are aged 18 or older.
16 in some places.
