Birthday today, nobody cared

You ever forgotten someone's birthday?
Anyways, of course you're gonna feel bad, treat yourself. Birthdays are for you to celebrate, if others want in cool.

Hey my birthday is this Thursday, Idk if it means anything but we are of the same star sign, so maybe we have the same personality traits and stuff, which means you must be really cool. Happy Birthday!!!
As for nobody caring, well that's happenned to me for years. There are times in life when you aren't surrounded by friends for your birthday's date. Making friends and meeting people who care about you is mostly a matter of luck imo. Maybe this is just a time to spend by yourself, to get to know yourself better.
The fact that people didn't acknowledge your birthday doesn't make you a less important person. Nowaday's saying happy birthday is just a matter of opening Facebook, going "oh look it says it's X person's birthday today" and writing some dumb message that takes two seconds. I know some people are more enthusiastic about it but it usually doesn't mean anything.
If this bothers you maybe it means that you need to get more involved in social activities and meet more people to get closer to. I'm personally kind of a loner and I dread aging. I also get really pissed (but don't show it) when people now simply drop a "happy birthday!" on a whatsapp group instead of texting me personally. I hate that so much, it feels like it doesn't mean shit to them so why did they even bother?

So anyway, TL;DR, only a few people you'll meet in your life will be important, the rest will just say "happy birthday" without any meaning. It's normal to not know any close friends right now, they will come in time and with luck.

Why do you care, it's just another day, I know many people who spend their birthdays alone and it's not a problem at all. But if you do care, then I wish you a happy birthday Anon and I hope the day gets better for you :)

My birthday is tomorrow, no one will probably care neither, but at least got a wireless headset from my parents, which is just what I wanted :)

I usually spend my birthdays alone in nature thinking about life more or less, and with family
In my opinion birthday should always stay a "childish" thing
No alcohol or party, I do it on other days, but never on my birthday
