You may be burned out because you overindulged. Do some other stuff too and keep it varied.

Both immature hobbies. Books and movies are the next step up

Prove me wrong

Video games are more interactive and stimulative, and force you to make decisions
>>18105763
You've become older and don't feel that happy and sorrowless immersion anymore. You've seen the stories, you've learned the mechanics, and there's nothing thag makes you feel the novelty anymore

Video games are seen as a childish hobby by many, books not at all. Compare a guy in his 40s reading a book on a train vs playing a Nintendo DS
>>18105791
The guy playing his nintendo ds would look happier imo
>>18105787
>force you to make decisions
A decision with a pre-planned outcome is not a hard one to make. Most of those decisions are starkly divided into "good" and "bad" decisions. That makes for a pretty childish outlook they offer.
>>18105798
A lot more mature than not making any decisions at all

play horizon zero dawn
If you got a job recently, it's definitely because of that.
You either never have time to play anymore, or the interest is lost as you want your body and soul to rest during the remainder of time you're off work.

>not realizing that not making a decision is a decision in itself
It's past your bedtime Anon

Because one cannot relive buying Silent Hill 2 for the first time twice.

did you forget to smoke pot beforehand?

this is good advice as well
video games (or whatever escapist hobby) should be a reward after a hard day's work.
You can't live a happy life that is centered on seeking pleasure and instant gratification. You're fooling yourself if you think you can.
