Hellotalk
I've been studying Japanese for a year and a half, and i've been using the app for about a year. It's extremely useful and i've made a lot of friends from using it. I even took a trip to Tokyo in January and met up with a bunch people through hellotalk.
Good luck with youe studies m8!

Dude get a damn Japanese textbook and read it. I don't know what level of Japanese you're at but check out Genki I and Genki II. Can't post a link to them because of this board, but just search Genki I textbook pdf.
Learn the vocab, practice speaking them, study the kanji, and be sure to quiz yourself to really gauge your progress. You might also care to check out Akebi which is probably the best mobile app for learning kanji. がんばって

Also if you really want to learn a language you have to practice every single day.
