I might just be ship posting for the sake or replying to you but I think as we get older less things bother us cause we've have already experienced these highs and lows through our youth. We no longer want to go out and conquer the world but worry about how to pay rent or feed the children. Heartbreak/love doesn't hurt as much as the first one cause we built up a thick skin. Also we are more realistic about things. I think maybe you are just normal and its ok to not happy all the time aswell as being sad just ok.

Have you tried medication?
Some people's brains literally stop making certain chemicals that cause happiness and the feeling of satisfaction. The only thing that can fix it is medication to replace those chemicals.

No point in trying to do things that make you happy if you literally don't have the stuff to feel that way.
