Im a secular guy. I used to be religious but after going through an existensial crisis and pondering life and god for a long time I became secular/agnostic

I only can trust in what is pheasant and what my past experiences and logic suggest.

Now that I am "red pilled" I kind of want to go back.

I understand that whether god is real or not worship provides a form of comfort and even a kind of pacebo to talk to your "inner god or self".

However after becoming secular I have tried to praying to multiple different Gods from different religions and I just feel like I am LARPing.

I need this personal inner and outer connection again. I need this deeper meaning in life

idk what to do

Sounds like you crave a spiritual experience (as gay as that sounds)

You can be spiritual without being religious.

Go eat a few grams of mushies on your lonesome and get to feel that side of you.
>>
You don't need any particular religion or their Gods to be spiritually fulfilled
>>
All the religions are okay but Hinduism is the best.

The problem with Christianity is that it is too much about love and community. That's good but you also need a form of meditation, otherwise it is perfect

The problem with Buddhism is it's popular with atheists who want to be spiritual but can't overlook their inquiring minds, their anti-God logic because that's what's popular today... You're supposed to be spiritual because of morality and peace, you're ready to give up the unsatisfactory world, explore the inner world and get God-realization. Atheists are too concerned with the meaningless questions like "why are we here" and creation stories are only there so people stop asking.

I recommend you research Ramana Maharshi. Self-enquiry is the best meditation.

But you can also think God is real, most likely is. Just one thing: there is no ultimate answer, every religion, even the opinions of Ramana, Ramakrishna, Jesus... they are all ways to "God-realization" but they're different, the spiritual experience has an "end" for them but they're still not the same, so any religion is okay.

It's understandable. I could never do religion, my parents are not religious, I was never brought up with religion, and although it highly interested me especially as a child it always felt like faking something rationally.

For me the urge went away with time. I do feel part of a bigger whole but it is in two different ways - on the one hand being sincerely convinced that there is a bigger cosmic truth/pattern we can't see now (and it doesn't bother me that I don't know/will never know details) and feeling connected to other people doing/preaching the kind of things that speak to me. Not to mention the bigger "human narrative" of having hopes, suffering loss and so on.

I think what people forget about religion/faith is that you commit your life to god because you truly accept his presence and the life on earth. Having faith means to let go of ego and all what had hold your mind in darkness.

It's easier to understand when you find the answer yourself, because I had tried to explain this to many who didn't want to understand.

You don't need to be bound to religion to be one with god, our lifes are simple and our heart is the strongest through goodwill and a positive community. If we live purely without guilt, we can die with a peaceful mind.

forgot to say that, without guilt, means that you do not intentionally try to harm. And even if you feel guilty after, you can be forgiven if you truly mean it.

Start attending a Unitarian Church. You don't need to believe in God to do so.
