How do I deal with loneliness and low self esteem? 18m

At 18, loneliness and low self-esteem are pretty normal anon. Filling your day with things does help though, especially if it involves other people.

Listen OP, you gotta be proactive about that shit. Be social, meet everyone, talk to girls, join clubs, get study buddies in classes, go to parties, whatever. Being social trumps everything else - romance and friendship are huge, obviously, but it makes every aspect of life easier, from living independently to finding jobs to advancing in a career to various other day to day things. Do not fall into a rut, and do not be isolated for so long that you're mentally paralyzed and terrified when you try to do anything different. Life is shit enough as it is, you don't want to end up being your own worst enemy. It gets easier the more you expose yourself to it.

When you're alone in your late 20s and beyond that is when you are fucked.

Join interest focused forums/fb groups. Get into some sort of artform also as a hobby.

You're suppose to be experiencing loneliness and self-esteem at 18. Teenage years are exclusively for loneliness, self esteem and most importantly melodrama. If it gets too bad, see a therapist.
