Posted this yesterday but worded it badly
Someones coming to inspect my apartment today because I told them about bed bugs. I did not spray any chemicals at all, but I did sprinkle diatomaceous earth today, but now I read a law that says the landlord is obligated to pay for extermination, but part of it says "THE TENANT SHALL NOT APPLY OR PERMIT ANY UNLICENSED PERSON TO APPLY ANY BEDBUG CONTROL TECHNIQUES THAT CONSTITUTE MITIGATION. " and "IF THE TENANT FAILS TO COMPLY WITH ANY OF THE OBLIGATIONS PRESCRIBED IN THIS SECTION, THE TENANT MAY BE HELD FINANCIALLY RESPONSIBLE FOR BEDBUG MITIGATION EXPENSES FOR THE DWELLING UNIT AND SURROUNDING UNITS THAT ARE INFESTED. " Am I going to be held responsible for this? I vacuumed up most of it, but I poured some in my boxspring. What should I do? Does the diatomaceous earth count as mitigation? I live in Arizona.
Vacuum it up and don't tell anyone.

That law is just there so you can't get the work done and then try to bill your landlord whatever the fuck you want
you're fine

People have been telling me not to worry, but for some reason yours is one of the only posts that actually made me feel a little better, thanks.
