We share the same class together, but we don't talk. I think he might be into me, so I'm trying to get his number so we can talk, but I don't know how to approach him. What should I say? Be straight to the point or toss it around for a bit. Any help would be greatly appreciated..

I would say to just chat casually for a little while until you have established a friendship and keep escalating over time until he rejects you. If he never rejects you, enjoy your relationship!
Chat about things you guys have in common when you first start talking. Over time you can start talking about each others interests and more personal things to get closer to each other.
