I was just trying to google this, but I couldn't think of a term to describe it.
Is this a normal ability? From a young age I've been able to hold my breath and kind of push all the blood to my head and face to turn my face all red and make my brain feel all numb and tingly and "like it's gonna explode". Would you call this a head rush?
I'm a 21 year old guy and I don't do it often since it's probably unhealthy in some way. But I've realised lately I enjoy semi gently strangling myself while I orgasm, and this head rush thing feels similarly good... Err. I guess my main question is what is this called, and is it dangerous for my health? Like does it kill brain cells or something?
Also, I find myself feeling very tired in my head after, with a numb kind of headache. But then again I'm almost always tired. Unrelated, I think.

nah. As long as you are just holding your breath yourself without any tools or choking you will be fine.
Your body will actually make itself pass out way before brain damage.

i doubt what you're doing will cause serious permanent damage but i wouldn't keep doing it

That's the thing though, it's not just holding my breath. I mean, holding my breath does nothing. I hold my breath to be able to... idk how to describe it, force blood to rush to my head. Feels kind of like when you hang upside down for a while, but stronger.

I can do this too.
I dont because its kind of dumb.
Also you could burst a blood vessel in your head which is straight up death. People do it while straining on the toilet sometimes.
Just dont OP it carries a very small risk thats not worth your stupid little trick.
Astronauts and fighter pilots do it to combat gee forces to keep blood in the brain area.
Don't recommend doing it because as he said, you can die.
Lol I used to do that as a kid.
Thought it was cool until I did it in front of class and knocked myself out. Woke up on the floor after a few seconds with a banging pain in my jaw.
Don't do it, it's genuinely quite dangerous and you're at risk of rupturing blood vessels in your head.
