You probably are getting to drunk if you don't like drinking, just sip your drink of choice slowly don't force anything, I use to hate drinking but then stopped drinking like an idiot and wasn't hangover which is fucking great. If alcohol tastes shit try something else I can't drink anything besides Jagermeister, unless I mix that drink with a soda then it's fucking great.

Maybe that you should forget a little bit about the taste of alcool and focus more on enjoying being with friends.

Partying is also something that can learned. It's basically another form of socializing.

Step 1: Do things you like.

Step 2: Make friends while you do those things.

Life unwasted.

Just keep doing what you are comfortable with. If you do decide to drink just get one and sip it all night. If these are truely your friends they wont care if you drink or not.

I personally dont go to bars. More so because i dont want to go out to drink and spend money on a few drinks/beers that i could have bought a bottle/case for at home. If i did go out and someone said they didnt want to drink i wouldnt say anything to them. At most ask I'd ask if theyd be my sober cab (if i didnt have one) and if not then im not drinking much till i get home anyway.

If you want to still hang out with them you could be the sober cab. If they give you crap for not drinking either brush it off or get new friends.

wine, beer and vodka drinks taste completely different
you could even order a rum and coke if you absolutely can't stand a hint of alcohol

bars aren't really fun though and they're a huge waste of money so no, it's not weird to hate that
