what do i ask for when getting a haircut? ive always had this fear since when i was little, i would always get terrible haircuts.
then in middle and high school i mostly had long hair.
after that i would get a 6 in top and 4 on the sides, and let my hair grow for a few months. it looks great until the hair above my sideburns gets too long.
im afraid if i ask for a trim i will get one of those bad haircuts from my childhood. plus ive only asked for the 6 and the 4 for the last 5 years.
what do i ask for? by the way im not autistic or ugly, i just dont want to get my hair buzzed, and im afraid just asking for a trim wont look good so ill have to eventually get the buzz since i dont know any styles

1. Find a picture of a hairstyle you like.

You could also try going to a hairdresser instead of a barber. They seem to be better at styling thicker, longer hair, and don't go so short. That's what I did

I usually get a Hitler youth kinda deal, 2 on the sides and scissor cut on the top combed to the side. But everyone's face is different if you post a pic we can do recommendations.
