>over use
its called OVER use for a reason. as a guy i find emojis annoying and generally insincere. i like when people use them ironically or sarcastically, but beyond that it feels like someones trying to be manipulative or role playing and it bugs me.
girls supposedly like em more.

That's normal in Germany. If you don't use many emoji people think something is wrong with you^^

It's funny when they're used rarely and only to be sarcastic and ironic in a meta way. Other than that, it's fucking annoying and it's cringe when someone uses them seriously.
Nothing hurts my soul more than seeing emojis next to a "deep" quote on a profile. I think people need to realize that they AREN'T unique or special in anyway.
I'm more concerned with what people communicate than how they communicate. If what they want to say is positive and interesting, who am I to judge how they express themselves?
