Basically OP, you can't get a gf if you try, because "trying" to get a gf means you are constantly giving off a vibe of neediness, which is unattractive.

Girls don't want to date guys who need a girlfriend. Girls want to date guys who are happy single men, and give off positive peaceful vibes.

Whenever I have searched for a gf/wanted a relationship, I never got one. Every gf I've ever had came along when I wasn't searching or necessarily wanting a relationship. I switched my focus on girls to myself, my career, and my general happiness.

When you are happy with your lifestyle and love yourself, THEN you are ready for a girlfriend.
