I'm tired of spending my weekends alone /adv. I've been going to my current uni 2 years and haven't made any lasting friendships. How do I meet people I identify neither and genuinely want to spend my time with?
"neither" was supposed to be *with

You just hang around with some people. If you don't click with them hang around other people. I used to hang out with this party girl. She knows a lot of people and I was introduced to some of them but turns out, most of them like to party way too much for my likes. I stopped frequenting them altogether since I saw it as a waste of time.
I've been talking to these guys who are more laid back. Last week we just chilled at one girls house, watching YouTube and talking about everyday stuff.

Thanks for taking the time to reply. I guess it's the initial act of meeting and hanging with people that I have trouble with. Should I just talk to random people?
Join a society. Do you have any hobbies?

What, if anything, interests you? Where are people interested in that likely to hang out? Hang out there.
Talk to people in your classes. That's what I did and I ended up with a SO and some of my best friends
